Thank you to Susan Jane Jones for nominating me personally and the Minxes for Versatile Blogger awards. I hereby accept on behalf of both parties. Now I have to divulge seven facts about myself:
1. Even though we're near identical name twins, Susan and I are not related :0)
2. I have a wrinkle underneath my left eye that worries me. It used to work its way out by lunchtime, but now it's there all the time. I'm trying to learn to sleep on my back to stop it getting worse.
3. Talking of sleep, I think one of my ancestors must have been a cat because I seem to have inherited the sleep gene. I can sleep anywhere: In the car (not while I'm driving). In my chair at work (only if I've nothing to do). At the cinema. The other day I fell asleep while writing a story (but that's maybe a reflection on how interesting the story was, rather then my possibly feline genetic make-up).
4. I suspect I might not be as bright as I think I am. It worries me.
5. When my daughter leaves home for uni (in less than three years, as she keeps reminding me) I'm going to get a parrot to keep me company. And I'm going to teach it to shout 'in a minute' - which is Lovely Daughter's stock reply to every request.
6. I love a bargain. I will spend twice what I'd planned if it means qualifying for a special offer.
7. I'm blogging on the Minx site today. Is it too cheeky for me to plead with you to pop over and leave a comment? I'm worried it might look as though I have no friends. There are no prizes and I can't offer you money, but I will love you for ever.

I love your seven things.
Like you, I can fall asleep anywhere and often do so at the cinema and when writing. I once fell off my chair as a result.
Congratulations on the award!
LOL. I think you need a cat when the daughter goes to Uni given that you are such close relations! Much less hassle than a parrot ;-)
And that Uni thing, you know they still keep coming back, right?
Your Forever Love is worth a comment. I'm heading over there now.
Sadly, the sleeping on my back thing wouldn't prevent me wrinkling. I get nightmares whenever I sleep on my back, so I'd just get massive sleep deprivation instead!
Honesty, this is the first thing that has made me smile all day so I have to thank you for that.
I loved your 7 things especially the one about the parrot. My ex had a parrot and it developed an Irish accent just like his Dad's. Very noisy though!
Heaging to Minxes now, congrats on the award too x
Congratulations :-)
I wish I had a wrinkle instead of the dozens I have ;-)
And you are far brighter than you think you are xx
I do envy people who can sleep anywhere. Me, I have to be lying flat in total darkness.
Congratulations on your award!
Funny! Love the parrot idea - you must get one now! Caroline x
This made me laugh so thank you for that. I'm off to the Minx site now!
You crack me up. Laughing at Number 3. Congrats on the award too. Heading over to that link now x
You made me smile that you are able sleep everywhere. I have learned to sleep on the couch at times. I've never been a person that can nod off anywhere, I think this is an achievement. lol.
I'm probably late but I'll take a squiz over at Minxes.
Oh, I suspect I may not be as bright as I think I am also. lol.. Oh well, we all can't be Einstein.
Hehe, you're so funny, you should write comedy, Suzanne, you always cheer me up!
Congratulations on your award, I'm sorry I'm a bit late here, but I popped over to your Minx post too.
I worry about facial creases, I always seem to sleep with my cheek squished up towards my eye, it can't be good.
Good luck with the parrot training ;)
xx
Oh that's a good start to my day. I was nearly falling off my chair - (def not because fallen asleep with boredom) - with laughing! Brilliant! :o) xx
Love the idea of your parrot, Suz!
:-)
Hi Suzanne
You've won the second prize in Nicola Morgan's Write A Great Synopsis competition, simply for commenting on my blog in response to her post there a while back! All commenters from all legs of her blog tour (200+) were entered into a draw and your name came out second. Can you email her at n (at) nicolamorgan.co.uk re claiming your prize, thanks. Or email me via my blog and I'll forward you the message.
Congratulations!
Thanks, Joanna. Luckily I write with the laptop on my knees while I sit on the sofa – so haven’t fallen off (yet). Hope you weren’t hurt.
Hi Catherine – I can be Crazy Cat Lady :0)
Hi Romy – gosh, that’s not good. Luckily, you’re young enough not to have to worry about wrinkles.
Hi Cheryl – a lady I work with has a sister with a parrot and the parrot likes to watch Peppa Pig – and can do some very authentic impersonations of said pig, apparently.
Teresa – I have dozens, too – but this one is upsetting me more than the others :0(
Hi Joanne – my daughter was like that when she was younger – I had to get blackout blinds.
Thank you, Patsy – and congratulations to you on your publishing deal :0)
Do you know, Caroline, I think I will :0)
Hi Jenny – thank you :0)
Thank you, Diane.
Hi Suzanne – that’s very true :0)
Aw, thank you, penandpaints. I think I’m going to enjoy teaching that parrot to talk. :0)
Hi Sue – thank you :0)
Thanks, Mandy. Daughter does make a lot of noise, so will have to get something equally noisy. :0)
Hi womagwriter – that’s terrific news. Thank you so much. I never win anything so I’m thrilled.
